I dug what seems to be an old old brass Harley Davidson Shield plate. I have owned several Harley's in the past and have not seen anything like this. It is not a Tank Logo and I can't seem to find any info on this piece. I have searched on google but I keep getting brass belt buckles. Probably not worth a whole lot but would still like to ID it. I know there are some Harley Davidson riders on here so any help would be appreciated.

Possible key fob? Looks maybe like it had a loop to connect it to a short chain maybe, now broke off ??. Looks kind of old. I'd think it have value especially if it's an old original H-D accessory piece you could only get from an H-D dealer

Thanks Tamrock. I still looking through google images with no luck yet so I will try the key fob route.

I looked over Harley Davidson "FOB" only just to cover key and or watch fob. I see other fobs, but none like yours. I'm thinking the style of the H-D logo could be a clue to the age of it. My hunch says very late 1940's to mid 1950's. The patina and crisp details makes me believe it is old and not a reproduction item. I'm sure there's a fob collector that would like to see that in his collection. Not finding a comparable also could mean it may be rare over others :dontknow: "To me it has the cool factor"

I would have posted a pic of the back but my macro setting on my camera wouldn't focus in on the writing but here is one anyway. As you can tell the writing is at the top middle. The item is completely flat. Here is a few more pics and thanks for the help guys.

Looking at the writing under a bright light (son lost the magnifying glass), the small writing on the back looks like milwaukee on the very bottom and right above it, it looks like the word coins.

I wish it could focus. A manufacturers mark is a huge clue...

Could it be Milwaukee co. inc.? Or Milwaukee Co. Ins.?

Its only a matter of time someone will get it now. Mr. T is very close. We can confirm the dateline by the manufacturer.

I wish I had my computer tower I could get that manuf mark quickly. Someone needs to search watch fobs backside pics here at TN until the match is found.
