I don't expect much here... this will probably be a tough one to nail down, but I've seen you guys pull some pretty nice rabbits from your hats before, so... you never know!
I found this today in a farm field that had a town from 1857-1871, with almost no modern trash or artifacts, so it is highly likely that it is from that period.
It is in two pieces... both came out of the same hole. I have them arranged in the photograph as they appear to have been connected (things are a bit bent up where it is broken).
There are two holes that I suspect are mounting screw holes on the bottom of the part that the dragon (or wolf or whatever) appears to be biting.
It is 2" in diameter.

Dangit! What ever happened to the days when the top of a photograph was the top? Both of those are sideways, with the top to the left.
