Very cool finds! The cuff links are awesome!!!

Those are cool! Congrats!

Thx everybody. That makes a total of 3 half reales all time for me. There was not a lot of colonial activity in my immediate vicinity.

Very cool I vote BANNER as I have never seen a complete set of those dug! I have dug two (at separate sites) over the years and the shank was missing on one and the other pounded into the coin (probably to use for currency) - awesome find!

Wow. Thanks Dan!

That is an absolutely an amazing find (I'm voting banner), especially seeing how you found both together like that. And I love the dates on the coins as both have significance - 1776 for obvious reasons, and 1781 which was the end of the Rev War. My very first dug spanish silver from about 16-17 years ago was a coin that had been made into a button or cuff link similar to yours, but the shank had broken off. You can still see the little glob of solder remaining in the center. I took me a while to realize what I had since I was a colonial green horn at that point. Congrats on an awesome find!

Bill, great observation there - I bet that is no coincidence and very much intentional - even more the reason for banner

I was wondering if anyone would bring the dates up. I thought I just had a button, rechecked the hole, then came the other, rechecked the hole, then came the link. Couldn't believe it. I did a ton of research to find this site.

Wow, that's so cool, congrats!

Love the cufflinks..good luck with the new site....
