Boy Scout "Good Luck" Token, Silver, Buffalo, and mega Wheat's. @@

Howdy Folks.
Ridley and I hit this house yesterday. It is in the old downtown section, and a block away from the other lot we’ve been hunting. This particular house was built in 1936. The lot it is on was originally part of the early 1900’s Victorian house that is right next door.
Due to the blazing sun, our hunt was pretty much restricted to the front yard under the large old oak trees. We still have a large backyard to complete once it cools down.
Ridley and I were pretty much neck to neck on finds this time. Both of us ended up with silver, a bunch of wheat’s, and an old token. He did get a marble though, that dog.
My finds for the day included:

*A 1936 Merc and a no date Buffalo nickel in a 2 coin pocket spill.

*A whopping 21 wheat pennies with the oldest being a 1917 and 1918S. Others were from 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Sorry, no 1922’s.
For awhile there, I thought I was hunting wheat's with Mirage, Danimal, and Nate at “The Berg”.

*An aluminum French (?) coin. Parts of the coin have corrosion, so I can’t find a date on it.
Any idea on what this coin is? Years these were produced?

*An old Boy Scout "Good Luck" token. After searching some other member’s previous finds, it looks like it is from 1910 or 1911. Yeah, Baby!
It says "Boy Scouts – Manufactured Excelsior Shoe – Portsmouth” on one side, and
“Membership Emblem of the Boy Scout Club – GOOD LUCK” on the other.
This token was about 10” deep in dry hard soil. I almost gave up on it, but the Mighty Tesoro was correct. That DD coil has really been paying off!

*Some sort of old drafting tool (?) relic. I busted in two pieces when I dug it up.

*A 1996 vaccine tag.

All and all a great time with some good finds.
We WILL be back to this spot again for sure.
Have a great week all,
MM

1 Franc. 1930s I think (top of my head)

Just looked at my Ali 5 Franc & its 1945. Makes sense as a War Coin brought back. (if its a similar date)

I LOVE that token! Here's a lightened up version of the photos of it.

Notice the "C" has been moved for the pendant hole.

Copperhead,
Here is the link I found from another TN member. It looks to be 1910 or 1911.
Almost 100 years old now!

Never noticed any one telling you but the Boy Scout token is from Portsmouth Ohio, I think there are 3 different varieties and 7 differant collectible styles depending on the canteen , bed roll, etc There is also a token with no hole that was given to Scout Masters and I have heard of but never seen a silver variety
Don

Thanks Don. Here is a link I found on TN on the three varieties:

Too bad it wasn't the silver one. ;D I'll keep digging though.
