Well unlike my advise I think I am going to buy a better machine with more depth and better Discrimination than My bounty hunter lone star I think I will have better luck because I am hunting pretty old sights and I get signals sometimes and then sometimes they are gone , I think I need to look deeper and I think I dont want to dig up pulltabs all day. Because when I go out for the day I usualy hunt most of the day, and I spent my last day off digin pull tabs for one wheat penny.

OKIE......

Sometimes that's how it goes. But I agree with the upgrade. I upgraded from a Tesro Golden Sabre to a Garrett GTI 2500. I love the upgrade, so far. Depending on the amount you want to spend, there are plenty to choose from.

Good Luck

I've got a cheaper BH too and have never really had a problem with depth, I dug a full can of mountain dew at about 14 inch's in the sand. I may also upgrade this summer, I originally bought this for my kids to use but I got the bug!!

AlphaQuest,

I also have a GTI-2500.. I bought it just before it got cold and have only had about 20 minutes with it.. :( Very sad.. Why I'm living in Wisconsin I don't know. Anyways, it's my first "real" detector, so I'm excited to see what it can do.

Garrett,

I also just purchased the 2500, around Thanksgiing time. I am in NY and it's COLD out (snow snow snow). I ended up going with the PRO package. How do you like it so far?
