Hello
I thought I would tell you about my Metal detector. I have a Bounty Hunter Pioneer EX. I got it at Hobby Lobby for 89.99. I had a coupon for hobby lobby for 40% off any one item and the EX normal price is 149.99. ( FYI you can get the coupon by getting their e-mail) It has four tones low for iron going to high for coins. i have had it only a week , but i have found $.66 in clad and a old pocket knife so far. i think it would be a good one to start out on. it gets you use to the tones and it helps me with pin pointing where to dig. some of the cons to it are 1. there is no headphone jack. I could put one in but way didn't they think of it. 2. there is no volume control. the pros are 1. it's light weight 2.8 lbs 2. feels good in you hand 3. the coil is waterproof 4. very simple control panel (4 buttons on,off, reject(it will not sound on iron etc if you don't want too), depth) I hope this helps someone who wants to start up the hobby.
