Bought Seated Lib half dollar at garage sale, did I get jipped?

A few days ago I bought this Seated lib at garge sale for $20 di di get ripped it is in EF condition he said and i sorta trusted him i think its worth about $50 am i right? I've always loved this version of the half dollar and really wanted it.. should i have bought it? HH CS

yah just ask the taxpayers in ohio about that ~
the grading deal is being worked on every angle ~ !
they invested millions on coins (the gov't)
and never received them - now thats over rating coins

Another reason to only buy slabbed coins if you are not comfortable with grading them yourself.

I don't think you got gypped at all. I think the coin in that condition is worth the $20 you paid for it. The seller made you feel you were getting a better deal than you really were. But I think you got what you paid for.

My point was that if you are not comfortable with grading coins yourself you can protect yourself by buying slabbed coins that have been graded by one of the major coin grading services. That way you can feel better that the coin you are buying is properly graded (and priced).

Don't regret your purchase. It is a very nice coin and I think you got it for the right price.
