Bought a New Cellar Hole Detector. Works Well!

Oh my goodness! This is amazing! Now here's the next round of criticisms against "treasure hunters": "

"They've filled the skies with Treasure Drones!" :laughing7:

I have been thinking bout getting an RC copter that would carry my digital recorder for a bit now. This is just one more argument for one, lol.

Heck Ya, I want to see a Pic of the Drone.

My friend owns the Enchanted Forest Water Park and wanted some video..

Awesome use for a drone. The FAA doesn't allow them to be used for money making ventures, but individuals can fly them for fun as much as they want. They are such amazing little things and less expensive than a good detector. I can see lots of uses in our hobby.

What is the range on those things? Flying time? Altitude limit?

I saw where Amazon is even fooling with the notion of using similar technology for future product deliveries. Not sure how that's going to workout. :laughing7: :dontknow:

Mine has a transmitter range of about 500 meters. The video range is about 300 meters. It has onboard GPS and will fly itself back home if it disconnects from the controller. You can also turn off the controller and put it into fly home mode.

Going to have to a lot more digging coins to pay for this toy!

That is so cool! Excellent TH'ing tool! I want one! Now you can add drone to your detector tool list!

Hi ctalmadg; That is truly awesome. I have also talked with my digging partners about getting one because we are out in the woods all year long. Now I actually see one being used. I'll PM you for specs on it. Thanks so much. I'm fired up on this one. AWESOME !!! PEACE:RONB :occasion14: :headbang:

That really lights up a persons imagination!

If you look a little up and right of center you can see the two darker spots in the woods. They are two cellar holes. I've hunted this area before and did not know these foundations existed until I took this picture.

I see, I did not realize they were foundations at first glance. However I will tell you what you may already know. I look for things like apple and cedar trees, daffodils and Easter Lilly, galvanized material to give away old home sites and turn of the century mining or railroad camps, etc.

Yeah, for sure.. This area has a lot of daffodils and lillie of the valley around quite a few of the old foundations. This spot is next to a lake that had 4 hotels and many summer homes in the 1800's and early 1900's. The lake and land around it was purchased by the City and is used for water supply. All the homes etc were all abandoned.. Great place to detect. In the picture you can also see the old road that use to run along the lake to the homes...
