Bornite

This was another rock of some others I had that could possibly be Bornite. I uploaded this picture from my iphone. No flash and low level lighting was sufficient.

Does not appear to be Bornite also called peacock copper or peacock pyrite. What your picture suggests is pyrite in a quartzite host rock. Pretty stuff for the collection. As to how it relates to prospecting pyrites can contain gold and are often found in the same areas where gold is.
