just wondering what u all think, are these tools or beads or both? some have cutting marks on them, most all have the ends rounded off, and they all have a almost ceramic noise to them when clanked together, i would guess from starting to get fossilized. largest is 5in, smalles is 1 1/2 in. thanks

with the large ones, how would they have been fastened?

Definitely Bone Beads. You can still see the cut marks on some of them where they were cut from a larger piece of Bone. You can also see the polish on the ends from being strung and rubbing together. I have quite a few that are almost identical to those. As a matter of fact I found a really nice Bone Bead today.

Very nice ones Chong. Did you find those and were they from a Ft Ancient site?

Man!!! I wish that I could find some of those! Very cool  Anyone know if its possible to find these kind of things in Virginia?
