Local beach showing black sand along towel line berm. This area is known for silver coins at certain times when the black sand is exposed. Picked up my third Kennedy half in two days, silver scorpion medallion, silver dime and a 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter. My second SLQ ever and both found on this beach.

Nice hunt! Not much black sand to be seen here in NorCal (at least not right now). I will pay attention to the tides and weather to see if that changes!

Man I would be checking that black sand for gold.....
I beach mine in Oregon and the black sands contain fine gold if you have the right equipment for recovery..
