Found my first bird band today on Clark Island at Pymatuning Lake in NW Pennsylvania

When I got home I entered the information into the database at the USGS website. Learned the band was from a Canadian Goose. Found it 777 miles from where the bird was banded.

Looks like a beebee from some shot hit the band...the bird could have been mortally wounded and flew to that island and died right where you found it. Cool find
 

Nice score on the bird band, I run across them every now and then :thumbsup:
