Bill Clinton Says Americans Will Get Used to Communism

truther October 3, 2013

Former president Bill Clinton is running interference for President Obama and laying the groundwork for Hillary’s 2016 presidential bid. Here’s what he said about the future of the response of Americans to ObamaCare:

“I just think that when all these dire predictions don’t come out, if they don’t — I believe that pretty soon, within the next several years, this will be like Medicare and Medicaid. And it’ll be a normal part of our life. And people will be glad it’s there.”

Bill Clinton Says Americans Will Get Used to Communism

I’m sure every political tyrant said something similar. I can hear Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Vladimir Lenin telling their people. “In time you’ll learn to love Communism.”

ObamaCare is like the early stages of communism. Communist ideology is all about equality. “From each according to his ability, to each according to their needs” is a slogan popularized by Karl Marx in 1875. Sounds so . . . fair. It reminds me of a scene in the film Dr. Zhivago where Omar Sharif’s character returns to his home and finds it overrun with people. Equality was achieved. Everybody had the same medical care, living space, food, and nutrition needs. They were all “equally” malnurished.

Gen. Yevgraf Zhivago, Dr. Yrui Zhivago’s half brother and Communist Party member, after seeing Yuri pulling wood from a fence, made this remark:

“I told myself it was beneath my dignity to arrest a man for pilfering firewood. But nothing ordered by the party is beneath the dignity of any man. And the party was right: one man desperate for a bit of fuel is pathetic; five million people desperate for fuel will destroy a city.”

300 million people brought under the control of the government for healthcare will bring our nation to its collective needs.

Communist revolutions bring changes dramatically, sometimes overnight. Creeping communism takes time. There are stages to it. The Social Security program was borrowed from the German Socialists. It was a major plank in Adolf Hitler’s platform to get the people comfortable with the belief that the government could make them secure. Hitler followed and implemented Bismarck’s program “that included compulsory insurance for workers against old age, sickness, accident and incapacity, and though organized by the State it was financed by employers and employees.”

As William Shirer writes in his book The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (1960), it had “a profound influence on the working class in that it gradually made them value security over political freedom and caused them to see in the State, however conservative, a benefactor and protector.”

We eased into government healthcare with Medicare and Medicaid. The first people into the programs reaped the early benefits.

In the early years of Social Security, more than 30 people were paying in for every recipient. The pay-in costs were a total of $60 per year (employee and employer “contributions”: two percent of $3000 per year. Now it’s more than 6 percent on around $110,000 per year with three people paying in for every one recipient. Something’s got to give.

We have no idea what ObamaCare is going to cost or its long-term consequences. Think Walter White and Breaking Bad. The taxes to pay for ObamaCare are mostly hidden, but they’ve got to be paid be somebody. But Bill Clinton is telling us that we’ll all get used to it. Of course, as an elitist with special privileges, he won’t have to.

Concentrating more on getting used to the short sight radius and obnoxious muzzle blast of my M4 vs. my midlength scoped AR that I use primarily for Coyotes. Think it is literally getting about that time.:'(

Unfortunately, I am almost daily more sure this is coming. This will NOT end well.

Its not going to end well the way it is headed, there are millions of us that will not surrender our Constitution and our rights with out a fight.... why do you think they want our guns, an unarmed population has no choice or chance, ask any of the American Indians what happen after they surrendered their arms....

"Bill Clinton Says Americans Will Get Used to Communism"

Guess he feels if he got use to being married to Hillary anyone can get use to anything....................

That makes no sense saying equality means communism. If that's the case we've been a communist country since day one. That's what our county was founded on was "equality for everyone" correct me if I'm wrong isn't that in the constitution. "All men are created equal"??

Your looking at this incorrectly........

USA - We all have equal rights to pursue happiness in our own way. Some will make it, some will not.

Communist - We will keep you all equal - We will tell you: what your occupation is. We will give you just enough food and crappy medical care - so everyone is the same.

We are equal in the fact we all have the same opportunity. If I choose to take a chance and work 70 hours per week to start a business that becomes successful it does not entitle another man who chooses to work 40 hours to have equal income. The simple fact of the matter is that some people strive harder than others to succeed. A hard working man who is forced to surrender the fruits of his labor to support a man who chooses not to work is literally a SLAVE. I think it is more than safe to say that most of us agree on the fact we should help those who cannot help themselves, and this has nothing to do with them. I saw a recent post by a member stating that they received assistance and both he and his spouse worked hard but needed help but felt they were looked down on by using the food stamp card..... this may really tick some people off but this shouldn't be my problem. What so many people forget is the fact that the money given to a family for assistance is taken from another family. There is no such thing as free money. Before you get bent out of shape my family has went through more health issues than anyone can believe and we have had to sell a business, property etc that we worked decades for just to survive. We barely are getting by, but slowly pulling out of it by working as much as 12 hours per day. But.....It is MY problem. If you can go metal detecting, have a laptop and a cell phone I do not need to be buying your groceries. Nothing promotes productivity and success more than doing without the things you need. Those who draw SS money often get defensive, and this has nothing to do with them. It their money to start with, not government assistance. When a man or woman knows that they will literally not do without necessities due to available government assistance, they simply will not try as hard to improve their station in life. Cold hard facts. Just my 2 cents, but they are my 2 cents and I worked for them. :icon_salut:

No, you're wrong. Our country was founded on "equality of opportunity". That is a far cry from equality of result. The idea is that every person has the right to pursue their own particular dreams...and live with the result. Communism is the idea that regardless of how hard you work, you end up with the same result. So, if you are lazy, you end up with the same benefits as someone who works very hard. The reason communism fails is that the hard workers eventually quit working, and everybody starves. That has happened every place communism has been tried.

I think ole Bill Clinton has started to "inhale"!!!

That is a popular myth, but only a myth.
Did I miss something? Or was there a link missing in which he said that?
Sure it's a myth to some extent. I'll never be large enough to play pro football, or have good enough eyesight to be a fighter pilot, so I don't have those opportunities. There are many inequalities in life...that's just how it is. The idea is that the LAW can't limit my opportunities. That's the whole idea of the Constitution...it limits what the LAW (government) can do to people. The reason governments hate the Constitution is that limit on their powers. The Constitution guarantees I have the right to be all I can accomplish, and that's all I ask...let me be what I can be.

I didn't see the exact quote either, but saying we'll get used to communism, is like saying,
you'll get used to the colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. :BangHead:

I'm so grateful, I am not at that age, yet. :laughing7:

So if I say that Bill Clinton didn't actually say that, what does that do to the thread?

He never had sexual relations with Monika either! :D

He probably said afterwards " wow this cigar is hard to light and it leaves a funny after taste"

I hope we don't get Hillary in 16. Or we'll wish we had Communism instead of the social fascist corporate regime (or whatever we have now) part 3.
