Cool finds.

The spoon is by Leonard Forbes of St. Louis, Missouri. He was in business from 1840 to c.1857 when the company name changed to ‘L. Forbes & Co.’ (until 1872). I would expect it to be coin silver (nominal .900 fine).

Chas. Rubens & Co. were in business on Franklin Street, Chicago between 1883-1911.

The Glauber’s rebate token is from 1902, according to ‘Token Catalog’.

Thanks for the reply! My son dug the spoon, he will be excited to learn how old it is!! There were a lot of police in Chicago:) I was hoping to add a picture to token catalog but they have a couple!! Cheers!!

Interesting and nice finds. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing.

So glad my son is tagging along. We had a blast!! We would love any information on the navy button or the police button. The token is a good one for around here. I'll have to hunt down a picture of the building. Happy Hunting!!
great group of recoveries, looks like fun. really glad to hear your boy is joining you, could make a lotta fond memories

Thanks, it's exciting. He out hunted me a few days ago. First time ever in 20 years. It was a good day! He found an American Detective Agency badge and an ice castle medallion from Leadville!!
