Hello My Friends!!

I just got back from my "silver park" today, and the silver was flowing as usual for me. I met Curt(Bibleman) at my favorite "honey hole" site early this morning. I was just hoping to get one silver coin out of this spot today. I have been detecting this little spot for the past 7 weeks, and it has produced an enormous amount of silver/wheats for me. More than I could ever have expected. Curt has been a good luck charm to me on my past two hunts to this spot. I have netted 14 silvers while detecting with him, including 6 today! I never would have believed it if I didn't witness it with my own two eyes. :o And I finished my day off in style with a '44 Walking Liberty Half. :headbang: The Walker didn't have the high tone silver sound. It sounded like a clad dime, but ID'ed like a typical half dollar, so I dug it. At around 6" down, I scooped a handful of dirt out of the ground, laid it on my mat, and saw the rim of a large silver....if you're an old coin hunter, hardly anything can match the excitement of seeing a large rimmed silver coin in your dirt pile. :occasion18: Right after digging the Walker, I told Curt I was calling it a day! My final tally was 6 Silver ('44 Walker, 3 Mercs('17, '41, '43), 2 Rosies('54, '64)), along with 9 Wheaties. Two of the wheats were semi-key daters; 1 chopped '14S and '11S.

Another fine day at the "silver park".....When will it go dry? Not even I know that. :icon_scratch: But I do know that I dug my 155th silver coin from this park this year. Oh Yes, and my streak...It's still alive at 34 straight silver hunts!! :blob8:

It was good hunting with you today, Curt. You've definitely been a good luck charm to me.

Thanks for looking!
Keep The Passion High!!

WTG Dan, keep that silver coming. At least I can see other people digging silver since I have no time these days. HH

Way to go on the walker and the other goodies. Some day...I too will pull a walker out of the dirt. Until then, it is good to see you doing it (especially since you are on the other side of the country and that is one I wouldn't find anyway). Keep the streak going. How long are your hunts on average?

Dan,
Awesome job!! I've been following your posts for a while and I am impressed to say the least. One thing that I notice is that you and SilverFreak both dig a lot of deep silver and you both use Minelab's. I use a White's XLT and seldom hit any coins past 5 1/2 inches. Is the Minelab that much of a deeper seeker?
Anyway, great job and I hope your streak continues, because it is not due to luck, but to your hard work and committment to the learning process. Congrats!

Sweet dude, beautiful big silver, congrats! Keep up the streak.

Good luck,
HH.

That big Liberty is sure looking good surrounded by that awesome court of hers! I know what you mean about seeing that big silver rim. I'll take a silver rim of any size! Gongrats, Dan!!!!!

Hey Dan, save some silver for the rest of these poor fellas!! LOL ;D ;D ;D

That Walker is a beauty! I have yet to score one myself, but at least I have a Morgan to my collection. So I can fully appreciate that special "feeling" when a big silver rim pokes out of the dirt.

Keep up the silver streak, bud.

Too bad the wheat was chopped in half, it looked in pretty good shape also.
Keep diggin' and best of luck on #35 Gold Nuggets

Thanks, Gold Nuggets! Yeah, of all the wheats that I got yesterday, the '14S was the one I wish was intact! :'( Oh well. You have to accept what the turf will give you. I will be giving it my best for #35.

Way to go buddy!
Looking forward to another video from you.

Thanks, buddy! I hope you can find a Walker too someday! My hunts average around 4-5 hours. I've been turf hunting twice a week.

Thanks, PossumGuts!! Is the Minelab that much of a deeper seeker? One word, "YES"! You're right. There is very little luck involved in finding deep silver in trashy turf. Luck is reserved for diamond ring finds at the beach.

Sweet dude, beautiful big silver, congrats! Keep up the streak.

Good luck,
HH.

Thanks, BandB1!! I will try and keep my streak going!

Dan the Silver King.

Thanks, Bulgarian!! Good luck to you on your next hunt!

Thanks, Ray!! Look at all the fun you'll be missing by moving to WA! The silver is still here. I'm still looking for my first Silver Dollar!! Best of luck to you!!

Everyone should have a Park like that near them!! Another super day, another silver filled day and such a sweet Walker!! Congrats!!

Thanks, Jack!! Parks out there like mine certainly still exist. One just hopes there's a park like this within 30 miles from their homes. ::) ::)

Good deal Dan, You are pulling the silver out like teeth my man. That Walker is awesome. Making the most from your area is what it's all about. icon_sunny thumbsup
Chris

Thanks, Chris!! Keep knocking the socks off of the Colonial Coppas!! Good luck to you!!

SaWeeeeeeet!
Love the Big Silver! What a great silver streak. Nice Walker.

Keep the streak alive!

Good Luck.
Mark

Thanks, Mark! I will be giving it my best as always!! Walkers are so few and far between. You have to relish the moment a little longer when finding these beauties!

Nice big silver man.

HH Jer

Thanks, Jer. You may be right. I'm not sure what's the orientation of the Walker was when I dug it up. But it did ID like a half on the SE.

Way to go buddy! thumbsup
Looking forward to another video from you.
HH

Thanks, MikeWaz!! I don't think the videos will be coming anytime soon. My detecting buddy who filmed and edited our detecting videos has a 7 day a week job! I've been thinking about making a special post of all my prior videos though. There's so many new members on our site that probably would be interested in viewing them.

Thanks, everyone, for your replies!!
