I'm not exactly sure of its age but I can say it was found close to and about the same depth as this 1925 buffalo nickel I found right before it.
Its not new I know that much
I actually think that's going to be great for the ecosystem in the area so much silt was being generated by all the commotion at that place it was deteriorating conditions in the spring run for a long long distance.
I only went there once and never went back to me it was a nightmare of screaming kids and vending machines.... nature area gone bad.. The spring didn't even look like a spring anymore looked like a concrete pond
All the local springs up this way are looking the same way without any human activity going on. According to the article below it is more related to growing agriculture and fertilizer runoff.
