Very nice.
Most will never find something like this however even finding very fine values is still rewarding. The feeling never goes away.

What a beautiful chunk of gold, a memory that would never to get old.
Query: How many moons ago did they find it?

We had just started metal detecting 5-30-2008 I bought the detector at a yard sale $40 bucks.
Well you can honestly say that it paid for its self right there. :occasion14:

My brother found strip gold-we figured it was hammered out nuggets made into a flat wire. :dontknow:
I got a ladies nugget ring, sold off a Black Hills gold with nuggets
But never a raw nugget
Did a lot of gold ghost town hunting when younger in BC
But the detectors weren't as they are today. (Luck had a tad to do with it also) :laughing7:

Wow, just wow!! That's a heart-stopper right there.

All the best, and thanks for posting the picture,

Lanny

That is a museum piece. What a find. Congratulations

I remember you posting this awhile back. Absolutely incredible. Does it have a name?

I remember digging up my biggest nugget. 58 grams. I did not have much excitement when I recovered it. I looked over my back a few times before filling in my hole.
