Cant believe I found another one and at a different site in a different town. For those who don't know The Continental Army was a military force organized in 1775 to represent what would eventually become the United States in the Revolutionary War. This force fought against the British and though it was dissolved at the conclusion of the war, it laid the groundwork for what eventually became the United States Army. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04ZN6g_sz8E Thanks for looking HH

I've said it before and I'll say it again... you're killing it! Is this your day job? LOL

Very nice buttons! Wish there was more of that stuff down by me....congrats!

Sweet group of buttons. I really like that tombac! Nice save on the USA. You might need to coat that one to keep it from drying out and flaking away. Here is an example of one I coated with clear fingernail polish. Of course you will want to experiment on junk pewter buttons first.

Very nice indeed. Too cool.

Very nice find!

I have a thing for buttons and this one had to be truly exciting to find!

A friend of mine who's about 3.5 hours away found one mixed in with his usual British and Loyalist Rev War finds. So if one came this far North, and by the enemy, I think you have a shot! Sure would love to know the story behind it.

Good to hear. The 1812 era stuff is plentiful down here, but never heard of anyone finding Rev War to any degree down in Southern Louisiana... Of course, except for me most diggers down here don't post their goodies or talk to anyone about what they find. ;)
