Looks like someone raided grandpa's coin collect. This was found in the wood chips of a tot lot today.

It's been a long time since I've seen one of these. And the first time finding one.

I pulled one of these out of a Vegas slot machine many years ago , any value?.. cheers Mick

Still even though the value isn't very much, pulling a large coin out of the ground is thrilling.

The Thrill alone, is worth way more than a dollar. That's for sure. I've only pulled a few large coins. A Dollar Casino Token, 1864 Half, a clad half. So few and far between at this point. I just love big coins. Big silver, even more so.

Nice find. 30 yrs detecting here and I've heard/read of more silver dollars being found than IKEs
