Not much I can add other than voting - congrats:occasion14:

That is one gorgeous half !

Nice banner coop, its just a matter of time for me. I'm gonna find me a worn beat down crappy gold coin and get me a banner someday. No, really, I am gonna do it.

Thanks, I dig all the time still, just dont post as much, here are my finds from the hunt a day or 2 before the bust half minus a few Indians. View attachment 1041321

coop VERY good hunt and it's striking, you found five silver, three denominations, and the most unusual by far, you got FIVE TYPES. If there were such a thing as banner hunts, this would be one. :notworthy:

Awesome hunt Coop ! Banner all day on that one.

with all the votes cant believe its not up top!!!!!!

For Real!!

Sorry for my ignorance on my first post, as the 1803 is your Avatar.

Davers -------Daaaaaa

I forgot to vote banner... but my jaw was killing me after it hit the floor.... after seeing this huge Silver Mint Coin.:laughing7: I put that right now

Excellent finds and fantastic condition. We all need spots like this to detect. The book mentioned on the 1st page, fuld? Can anybody give the full title and author? I do all the inter-library loans I can for books like these.

Apologies, I should've fully cited my source. It's called A GUIDE TO CIVIL WAR STORE CARD TOKENS by George & Melvin Fuld. The edition I have is 1962 and looks like this...

I *think* it's out of print, but I may be wrong about that. However, copies turn up and are not expensive, compared to some relic books... maybe $10-20 or so?

Another Great Book I would Like to have, even tho I have dug only 1 CW Store Card. & 1 Sutlers Token.
Great For Reference & Helping Others.

No Banner Yet! Maybe the Mod's are off for the Weekend. Lol

Simply amazing the beauty of the bust. Congrats.

Thanks for the info. I like to try and read as many books as I can. Now if I could just remember a small part of everything I read.

Congrats on the well deserved Banner Bud! I made a comment and totally forgot to vote like I intended to. It's nice to see a beautiful old american silver coin up there. Looks great, Abe

congratulations!stuff like that is what it is all about.

Beautiful coins. Love the Civil War Token...:)

Congrats on your Banner nomination for a remarkable coin. Last year I found a 1836 capped and
I can truly say my coin was only half as good as yours
