Hello all. I got out to a few early sites yesterday & found this really neat brooch or small buckle that appears to have ivory inlays. It almost looks Middle Eastern?? I'm also not sure about this large piece of brass with 2S engraved in it. The script looks colonial. Any ideas? You can see where a hole was in the bottom right.

Your first items appears to be a buckle instead of a brooch because I can't see anywhere on the back where there would be attachments for the pin. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like it is inlaid Marcasite.

Neat find :)

I agree that its a buckle vs a brooch. I don't think its inlaid marcasite. However, there is another (looks like amber) inlay around the outside. Id love to figure out the age, origin & what the script means

Judging by the shape, I would say it is from the Art Deco era with an Asian influence. The script may be generic for the look/style of the piece.
