I think it's a Pickwick. I found it today in a field in SE Alabama. I've found many damaged artifacts before but this one is wierd; definitely been slapped around the field some. Actually this one looked better before I cleaned it. I'll still put it in a frame anyway.

It's not; it looks like the plows over time chipped away at the right side. The damaged end was sticking out of the ground; I thought it was going to be a random chunk of chert. This would have been a beast without that damage; truly a Heartbreaker.

I know the feeling when you find something and it looks like a different material or it’s going to be really nicely made and once you clean it up it turns out to be run of the mill material or crudely made… regardless of that that still a big nice point, I’ve struggled to even get a partial or a worked flake lately.
 

A few busted cores and broken flake tools which I didn't bring home, no other heartbreakers which was surprisingly odd.
Maybe you can get out soon.
I’ve been finding a lot of small preform cobbles lately. I hope that’s a good sign of something better coming out
