Beware - be careful

Kids can be a pain is ass when they get under your feet and just get in the way

Yea...some of them can be extremly annoying...I had a group of 3 or 4 last weekend...All of them asking different questions at the same time...I nicly told them. " Sorry, I gotta hurry because my GF gets pissed when Im out for too long, Wait till you get older, you will understand"..lol

They actually laughed and walked off....But some kids, you gotta be straight up with

I was a park once years ago and group of kids and a few adults came over to talk. No big deal I'll talk to people. Anyway, so then this 4 or 5 year old kid starts jumping up and down on my coil as im looking the other way talking to one of the adults. I was using a more expensive 12" coil that day. Of course he didn't know any better but his dad sure got mad. Reasons like this is why I like hunting areas were no ones around......... Edit- Just to be clear.. The dad got very upset with the boy for jumping on my coil. This happened after I told him the GTI's cost new. Luckily the kid didn't damage the coil that I was aware of. But if it had gotten broken yes someone would be buying me a new coil. I swear some kids need to be on a leash. Back in the day my parents had one for me I was so rambunctious when I was 4 or 5. I guess now a days parents turn to medication in stead of a swift kick in the butt.

I don't mind kids so much since all of us were children at one point or another, their curiosity and short attention span makes it interesting..

Similar but different story, a few years back I was fly fishing Ken Lockwood Gorge on the South Branch of the Raritan and a Mother and son walked up and the kid asked "Did you catch anything?", as soon as the kid finished the question, the mother cut in and said "Don't talk to him, he is a murderer", obviously not knowing that this is a C&R stretch, the mother and son started tossing rocks in the stream to spook all the fish. I guess you can't teach stupid..

Hopefully when the kid grows up, he books his mother in a place for the Mentally Unstable :unhappysmiley:

...or makes her "disappear"...lol

"Your Mother?, Lets just say, she took a trip"

That reminds me of a situation fly fishing in eastern Oregon when I had crossed the stream to get just the right angle to a good fishing hole... A lady was watching her son throw rocks right into the base of the large rock where I intended to put my fly... I cast anyway and caught first a 15" trout followed by a 13" and a 12" ... All the while he continued to throw rocks... I could not believe it! All I could figure is the fish had been recently planted and thought they were being hand fed...:dontknow:

The fish probably were used to the concrete raceway instead of a Rock strewn river bed. There is one place I fish, in which I can only fish once a month (my choosing) because its a wild eastern brook trout stream (very few left) and the fish can feel you 50 yards away..

Here in Washington they have ruined the wild sea run cutthroat by planting farm raised cuts... When you catch a planted fish he roles over on his side and you can horse him in... A wild one that you must release will dance across the surface and beat himself up so bad he is bleeding from the gills and you have to release him to die... If biologists wanted to help them they would just capture the returning fish like they already do, germinate in a bucket and return 100% germinated eggs to the river.... Instead they raise dumb fish and the State raises licensing fees!

Welcome to NY/NJ! Although there are some amazing WT streams in both states, the state has to feed Johnny and the power bait posse and Bruce and the Bucket Brigade..

NJ in state license $22.50 with trout stamp it comes out to $33.00, all the state sees is revenue..
