Next I'm drawing up a FAKE treasure map to it which will be in some rough country. Then for the next 100 years there will be the tale of the lost Sturdivant treasure.

thats an amazing stash of finds
i've been MD for about a month now
hit lots of school yards and playgrounds
lots of clad found only 1 silver ring so far
but just looking at your post here makes me think
of how much more is out there waiting to be found

anyway those are really great finds
i hope i have a stash like that someday

Without giving away to many secrets, how do you decide what schools/areas to hunt? How many in a month do you visit?

I can believe that is that much jewelry in every school. Or am I just missing most of the stuff at the areas I search?

I'll have to go out and get that issue of W&E - in fact I should really re-subscribe!

You do an amazing job in those schoolyard playgrounds that's for sure - my guess is two of your tips are to hunt slowly and dig everything.

This post should be stickied for newbies as well as for veterans who are on a cold streak - It's a perfect answer for every newbie question that starts... "I don't know where to hunt...." or "All I'm finding is junk, where is the good stuff..."
