Hey Dimeman......awesome finds... got a few questions for ya...whats the name of that HUGE park (running area, etc) north of downtown..........been there once when I brought my daughter to get her passport visa..found a coin and necklace in the volleyball court at that park.....second..just wondering ..you mentioned finding your rings in the playground areas...just curious what the average depth of your ring finds are..playgrounds are my MAIN hunt area as well, and what settings do you use..all metal ??? probably the best setting ..just have to dig everything as I usually do...but I tend to ignore the deep deep stuff even in the playgrounds cuz usually around 4-6 inches down is a heavy cloth covering blocking further deeper digging. thanx and good luck in 2008.

HH to all

The huge park is Memorial Park. Depth of the rings are usually 2 to 4 inches. And with the M6 I use the toggle at normal setting, with very little Disc setting. With my IDX the toggle swithch in normal, and set the Disc at 9 o'clock posiition.
We have some playgrounds( tot areas with swings, slides, jungle jim bars...) where there are some areas that are up to 8 inches deep. And I have found some coins at 6 to 8 inches deep, there.
