Best pinpointer

There are many posts about failures, erratic action and battery fitting problems with the G pros. Many have been returned for service as noted in posts. Actually they can afford to replace them several times because of the over pricing.
My harbor freight has the same range, the batteries last much longer and with 3 years of usage for $16 I am way ahead of the game. I guess it just gets expensive when you get branded. Frank...

yeah...

The Minelab is more reliable, but I do like the Garrett sound more, it's a little louder.

I'd keep the Minelab if I only had to chose one, the Garrett is falsing.

I used both and used the HF until I saved up for a Garrett. HF is my backup and it is good for the price and a good one to use until you can upgrade if you choose to.

A lot of the problems people have with the Garrett can be fixed by putting a shim inside the battery cap and using a good battery. Should you have to make any changes to a $100+ pointer? No, but if that fixes your problem then why not.

Get the garrett propointer I have 2 I bought a new one because my other is pretty worn down but still works just like new. I have heard a few people had issues with the on/off switch breaking but they replaced it with a better switch and now are very happy with them. I do own the HF pinpointer and it works very well I got it for 12.00 with coupon my kids use it. I also have the bh/fisher pinpointer and it works well also for 35.00 . The HF or the bounty hunter will work good for a beginner but once you can afford it get the garrett or the mine lab

I'm a professional user, and I have to dig holes in frozen ground. I need to know where to dig exactly.

The Garrett does that well. Very well.
