I've found lots of good stuff....hard to say what's best..
I'm gonna go with some splashed 3 ring minie balls I found in the area of a post CW feud. I'm actually hunting a cache there, but those bullets are central to the story. My next favorite find will be the gold cache! Someday...

1829 Brazilian Pence. Oldest coin so far. Found in Dallas

1849 French Reis I believe. Found in Dallas

Best recent find after returning to the hobby is a well worn 1923 Peace Dollar found in Harris county where an 1930's era post/beam house was torn down. This was under where the raised back porch had stood.

1914 Fob....Another Piece of Ft Worth History!
Diggin-N-Dumps,

I really enjoy seeing your TX-themed finds... completely different than what I'm digging up, but still has that feel of "history" mixed with "home".

Killer find, man!

That is a fantastic recovery and return--best of all the return

The wife is swinging an F-2 and I'm using my AT Gold. We live on some acreage, out in the country, and basically have been MDing on our place and our daughter's place next to us. Many head stamps (old and newer), some brass from fired cartridges, old license plates from the 50's, a few coins, an old pocket knife, and from an old homesteader's site on the daughter's place, utensils and pieces of utensils around the now buried foundation stones. Sorry, I don't know how to post pics.

Bump.

Hey Tejaas I'll be in San Antonio the week after memorial day weekend just wondering where is a good place to get a quick hunt in, we probably staying at Marriott hill country resort

I don't know much about hunting within city limits - but i've always heard San Antonio is pretty strict.

Here is a list i managed to chase up of the city parks that can be detected in - but apparently you must have a permit.
