My alarm clock didn't wake me up today to get out and enjoy the great weather today, but I did manage to get out for a short 2 hour hunt and hurried along as quickly as I could swing my coil. My first find was 1942 wheatie. Got a bit more clad and it started to get dark and I was hungry so I started moving quick and I just happened to look at my screen when I noticed a good stable signal 1 notch above the pull tab on my Ace350. I started to dig and all I could see was what looked like the side of a bent over gold colored pull tab. So i was all like crap just another pull tab and I started to rip it from the ground when I noticed a chain was following the pull tab. I looked at it and realized it wasn't a pull tab at all but something greater.
From what I can gather it is some token given to veterans and it was put onto the FOB by the veteran himself after receiving the charm. If you can tell me anymore that would be great. Oh also all of them I find online have Gettysburg on the other side of the canteen, but mine has U.S. on both sides.
I believe it says MARATHON on the end of the watch clip, but the T in marathon looks rubbed away.
