So I bought a box of dimes from a local PNC, and started cracking them open like usual... I open a roll and all the dimes were dusty white, as if they were out of a well or something and I see a solid silver smooth edge, I look and its a barber I'm sure! Flip it and its actually an 1883 seated! I started yelling through the house. Went through a few more rolls and I saw a roll with a gap, I look and see a thin edge 1903 5 cent Canadian. Silver for sure. I went back and bought $300 and yeilded 3 more silver roosies. Not doing bad lately

Congrats, that's a great find!

I think my oldest dime find was a '24 merc I found a couple of years ago.

H$H!

I've been CRHing for over 10 years now and I'll tell you I've never found anything 1800's, seated, barber, etc.
Probably because I do Pennies and nickels lol

Awesome find on the seated. I've only found one in 7 years and that was a love token. I believe the 1903 5 cent is sterling silver too. Congrats!!

Would really like to see a good picture of the King Ed Canadian, congrats!

I've found six Barbers, but no seateds. Very rare, so lucky you

Very nice find. People probably thought it was an old foreign coin without really looking at it, and just spent it as a dime.
