Sorry, but i'm not up to date on either one of those. But in case your poll is to help you determine which of the two to purchase. I would suggest going more for one of the major brands. Such as Whites, Minelab, Fisher, Tesoro or Garrett. All proven winners. HH

I've never used (or seen for that matter) a Treasure Hunter machine but I find plenty of stuff with my Bounty Hunter Quick Draw 2.

If you plan on hunting old sites where the coins are going to be really deep or in & around salt water you should consider a different line of machines but for the money I don't think you can do much better than a Bounty Hunter. Just my opinion...

I have heard about the Treasure Hunter line, mostly negative stuff, but I do own a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101, which found me many coins in my first few months detecting. I use it as a back up now to my garrett ACE250, which is a huge improvement over the Bounty Hunter. But, the old BH works fine as a backup, or for the rare occasion when my daughter feels like joining me in a hunt!

I have a BH 3000xd that came from radio shack. In 6 months time my 10 year old and I found around 120.00 in clad,3 silver quarters, 3 silver dimes, 4 silver rings, 1 gold horseshoering with 10 really small diamonds, and 1 3 ring minnie ball.I got another civil war area to hunt but could not find anything in the woods. The BH just would not go deep enough, so I bought A whites DFX 2 weeks ago. In the last couple of days I have just learned the ins and outs of the machine. Went over the same ground that I had hunted with the BH and picked up 4.28 in clad and 1 wheatie. I have not had time to go to the civil war area but digging test plots in the yard and putting civil war items in the plots I Am REALLY happy with the reasults. The DFX will go 3 to 4 times deeper. But the main thing is for you to get what YOU feel comfortable with. shooter

As others here state,,, skip the toy detectors and go for a 'proven' quality machine (whites, garrett, mine-lab, fisher, etc.). you'll be much happier in the end.

I didn't vote because I wouldn't buy either one.

Just my opinion, after many many yrs in the field using dozens of different machines.

Had to flip a coin to see which one I would pick, the coin landed on it's edge. Whites MDer here, sorry

Not sure what the other machine is.

I have been doing this hobby for 22 years and still have my first machine"good" machine, a Bounty Hunter (teknetics) big bud pro. It is a beast and still separtes trash from treasure better than most and I have four machines and have owned about 12.

ive never been upset with my bounty hunter, but i know lots of detectorist dont like them. just buy one that suits your need and see how it works for you.
