Bering Sea Gold New Season!

Did anyone watch the preview of the new season last night?

I cant believe the Christine Rose still has to be paddled out to sea by the excavator. :tongue3:
They said they removed the riffles from their sluice to catch more fine gold? Only way that will work without riffles is by classifying and slowing down the flow. They would have to of changed more than just the sluice. :icon_scratch:

Looks like Hot Head Scott landed some new investors and a new boat.

Can you believe that Vernon and Steve teamed up? That has to be a disaster looking for a place to happen :laughing7:
And what about the hyper diver who showed up to work with Vernon and Steve and went berserk over the weight belt? :laughing9:

I hope Emily and Zeke find a lot of gold this season without a serious accident. (doubtful)

Anyway judging by the preview it ought to be a fun watch with plenty of insane drama. The colorful cast makes the Hoffman crew look like normal miners.

so let me get this straight Bunce tried to swim out to the edge.

The camera crew followed in a boat filming.
(they had a clip of him swimming)

he got in trouble & another boat had to come & rescue him ?
better yet, why didn't they take him out to the edge in the first place ?
no half a brain between them ?

Why hasn't the camera crew been fired & charged for not helping him ?
or have they ?
or was the whole thing staged ?

It was my impression, that his swim was a reenactment of the original swim

I sure hope so.
I can see them sitting back & ignoring someone dropping their Gold & where,
but sitting back & ignoring someones obvious distress is as bad as running over a child & continuing
to drive on.

I'm not sure who the biggest idiot is..... The whole cast of Bearing Sea Gold or me for watching it week after week.
Gotta be a toss up! :tongue3:

Total agreement with Goodguy~ I like to see some gold come up. I like to see how some of the equipment operates. I really can't stand most of the people though. I'm mean really, why would you send Emily into the water... Somebody shoot Scott with a Tazer please, I want to watch him flop around like a stunned mullet. The rest of them~ egads...

Would somebody please do a real show about prospecting? Please???

Personally I enjoy the show to an extent, I don't care for the characters or the drama much. I like the way they dive and dredge all day but....Couldn't someone besides these odd balls do a much better job. Yes it's cold so lets start with a nice heated cabin, several dredging hoses per ship/boat, Maybe a team of boats working together to support more safety and help with problems to guarantee success at a higher rate. I just think one of us New England guys with a little money would blow them away, Not trying to insult anyone, I just hate the drama part when mixed with working. And why doesn't anybody have robotic arms to move rocks and dredge with to keep the divers out of the water completely?

I have often wondered why the Christine Rose does not have a small dredge to work the areas they have finished digging. They are digging blind, and you would thing a small finish dredge would do nicely for the operations after they have removed all the overburden off of bedrock and glacial clay... I could do without about 55 minutes of the drama and watch for the actual mining and the money shot, the gold porn, the clean up...:laughing7: They are doing in Alaska that most of us will never see in Kalifornia, a large commercial gold mining operation...... There are a few in the state, but most are disguised as gravel plants...

Emily is an accident waiting to happen.
& it will probably be an arm in the hose again
if they are actually giving her use of full suction.
notice they caught her line popping off, as she was under ?
Coincidence, reenactment, or planned ?

her dad Steve, is no better he goes under for 5 minutes, comes up , lays on his back,
& says he needs to think ? what is that about ?

"Scott"I agree 100% with you. Tazed ! but also thrown in jail.
the guy just comes off as having one braincell,
that is holding him back from going ballistic and hurting someone.
I understand why he's divorced. He probably beat his wife & kid regularly.

Vernon's a joke too. he'll go another season with next to nothing,
thanks to Steve running his show.

the rest are ok at this point, not allot of drama except when old man Pomrenke
causes problems telling his son how to run his life, instead of just getting on with his own.

as you may be able to tell , I enjoy this show :laughing7:

From a guy who knows "Scott" well, supposedly his is a teddy bear, nicest out of all of them, but gets paid more than all the other CAST members to be that jerk he is. He gets this "bump" (extra pay) so he will create drama and excitement for the show. He does add an interesting spin to the show. But then again who knows. The lady I was talkin to about this, goes to Nome 5 times a year for the last 20 years and talks to Scott frequently.

Yep that's his story and he's stickin to it :tongue3:
I'm sure he has his sweet side, especially around the ladies.

I'd say he really lays on the anger extra heavy for the cameras since being cast as a villain.
But I bet in everyday life he has a shorter fuse than most.

GG~

I've been around a couple of these "Reality Shows" whilst filming. What we see is sort of a fluid scene but in all reality the Director keeps cutting and stopping filming like every 30 seconds almost. Do Not for 1 Minute think these shows are NOT staged for they are heavily staged. Now these people are Not actors and they are actually doing their jobs, but aside from the diving every single bit of Dialogue is heavily influenced by the Director. Such as "Why don't you talk about this" or Scott" Show us how you would get mad if this Scenario played out" I could easily believe that this Scott Masterhiem is a Teddy Bear. People he was the person that left Nome last year with Less Money that he started. And then Bamm a seemingly brand new boat from these Investors, well yea these Investors are the Show's Producers. And as for Emily and her Near Accident, that was staged. Look back at the footage does she ever look like she really is in Actual Danger ? And I am fairly Certain that every single boat has to have a Life Ring on board by Law. No one threw her the Life Ring. We were watching it and all of us were yelling thrown her the Ring, but there was no ring. Well there was a Ring on Board or they would be getting in big time trouble. The Ring didn't get thrown because she actually wasn't in trouble.
Lastly; I just find it almost hard to believe that in the USA that this sort of Near-shore Dredging is allowed, especially near the out-flowing River. Yes the Christine Rose was shut down until the Salmon run was over with. But I just don't ever see anything near to this sort of dredging down here in the Lower 48, ever on that large a scale. I suppose it is True that up In Alaska that any Mining operation will get approved, a rubber stamp so to speak as the Mining commission is in the back Pockets of the Commercial operations. such as with the Pebble Mine. No way that Mine should Ever even been considered. I am Not a Fan of the EPA all the time but this one time I was Glad they got involved. because as I see it if it was up to the Alaska State Mining Commission they would approve it. Sorry fr the long winded post....

Yup. Looking at Scott on TV at some points, I'm
Telling you guys its a big act. He's not that great of an actor, he's a dredger. Lmao. I used to act for many years in LA, its 95% scripted. The network cares about one thing, getting viewers hooked on drama/fights/ect..... More viewers = more $$$$$$$. Also mean no more pilot days, contracts for multiple seasons. When you get signed for multiple seasons, your base pay goes up SIGNIFICANTLY every year. Not to mention all the bumbs (extra pay) you get, then you get commercials, residuals, and side gigs. This is getting to be a fairly known show now by multiple types of audiences. Cha Ching! $$ congrats boys, your famous!

The gold they find is just the topping !!!

THIS SEASON SUCKS MORE THAN THEM CRAPPY DREDGES THEY'RE USING-John

I agree 100% and I know nothing about dredging, Is it really so difficult to have proper functioning equipment on a reality TV show. How can anybody invest/borrow so much money and use crappy equipment with ignorant degenerates running the show. Would you let any of them borrow money ?

Is it me or is the show getting more boring each episode :dontknow:
Go out storm chases them back in, cant go out weather is too bad, go out have problems yell at crew go back in, repeat.

Zeke seems to be doing ok. He's pulling in money when he's not pulling Em out of the water.

I don't concern myself with any of the drama because I know it's all scripted bs for the ratings. Just interesting to watch people dredging on the ocean.

I agree. it was nice to see all but anchor Management get a decent amount of gold.

& in spite of scott continuing to sound like a woman at her worst time of the month,
he was surprisingly toned down.

but no real story this week

isn't it obvious that their brains are already dead?
there isn't one of them I would like to have a beer with ( maybe it's Nome)
People eventually will die diving in water that cold.
