Wow, this morning I am watching the history channel and there's a whole series on the Rev. War and this episode is all about the detail of Benedict Arnold's treason. It's depicting the house where he lived along the Hudson and Washington visiting there, and Arnold fleeing...this is the house where I got permission to search and found two coppers from the Rev War era (no readable dates), among buckels and buttons. (The house is no longer standing, but the land is original and there is some foundation and there is a well and cellar.) To think that some of what I found may have been lost by Arnold, or for sure whomever lost it knew Arnold and maybe Washington. Cool stuff.

Bergie,
That sounds like a really cool place. Lets see some pics of the coins you found.
There has to be more out there too.

Thanks, Pete. Have picked over that place really well with a buddy. I will post picks when I can figure out where our kids brought the camera to a friend's house and now it's missing. Teenagers!!!!!! Ugh. Anyway, the coppers always look like "dark discs" in photos given there's very little definition left, except being able to make out the bust on the front of the coin with the naked eye. Here's the historical sign marking where house was...should note the loser left his wife and baby behind when he fled. Not much of a man in any regard...
