Beginners luck

My brother in law came over for a visit. I took him to try his hand at MDing. He is not into history and never really has shown interest. After I got him set up and detecting I heard "hey I found something". He brought it over and it was a WW1 German medal. I have not found one yet. He was pretty stoked and I am happy that he has something to talk about. I found a few things but nothing as good. I did find a neat old ring but it was not silver or gold. Hope all is well and happy hunting.

I am gonna hit the area again when time permites. I think this medal may have been a veterans medal. I can't find it anywhere. O well I know it has some type of history but not sure what. Still a keeper. My brother in law thinks it is made of gold.LOL

Nice going Birdman, that bullet at the bottom right looks very similar to the type I find at CW sites around here. Tsgman
