And what are signs of it being silver but I doubt it is

Clinker or other blacksmithing refuse. Probably a conglomeration of several materials

Guess I didn't hit send, anywho- There is no field test for Silver, I took mine to the local University who tested and identified it for me. Your rock isn't magnetic so you are one step closer. A Silver specimen can be worth a bit of money. I was going to tell you not to break it up in case it is silver, sounds like I'm too late.

I didn't break it up anymore than what u see in the pichure there is still a big peace and two smaller peaces. And would a jewler be able to idenify silver in it?
