A friend found this on a group hunt that I hosted on my land. Can anyone give us any info on the approximate date and/or about the company. We can't seem to find anything this far.

If "B" stands for bar, then it's tough.

This style has been seen on a number of tokens issued in the 1930-45 time period. Without any info on the reverse or where it was found, it's unlikely anyone will be able to pin it down any further.

I am sorry ... I should have mentioned. The reverse appears blank and it was found in Heflin Alabama.

It was found near an old slave home from the civil war era. The home was later used by share croppers until the 1930s.

Curious. All 14 examples of this style on tokencatalog.com have a Schmidt reverse.

I don't have much in the way of Alabama directories. I checked the 1936, 1941 & 1947 Dun & Bradstreets under Heflin, AL and found no one with those initials.

This is an all incuse token. It is not made by Schmidt, who made part-incuse tokens. Only one other example is on TokenCatalog.com and there is no date information for that attribution. This likely dates to the 1890's-1910's... This is a pre-prohibition token.

I will ask Jeff to triple check the back and see if we are missing something or if it's just worn off. The 1890-1910 date range certainly fits with other items we have found .

Thank you all for the info! If you happen across anything else please let us know.
