Been away for 3 years, what has changed?

Being a Whites user for years and years it broke my heart to learn they had closed down. Besides the amazing machines Minelab has always produced, what is the latest and greatest detectors out there providing the best bang for the buck? Have any pinpointers been introduced to outperform the old reliable Garrett Carrot?

XP Deus is all wireless technology and is very light. The Equinox 800 series is also an excellent machine. XP has their own wireless pinpointer and I like it a lot. I do use the Deus all the time but would like to have an 800 just to play with. The Carrot is probably the best all around PP on the market.
