Beach Hunter ID

Welcome to the forum. The Beach Hunter Id is a good beach detector for the dry sand or shallow wading. The settings I would use are to ground balance it on the dry sand to hunt dry sand and GB again on the wet if you are planning to hunt the wet. Crossing from wet to dry will make the detector unstable. Also you may get some strange ticks from the headphones when a wave washes over the coil.

Threshold where you can barely hear it. (put tape over the drain holes to block out wind noise)
Use as little disc. as possible. Make sure you can hear a pull tab as you wanna dig all of these.
Sensitivity you should set as high as you can with out the thing being unstable.
You can hunt in Disc. or if you wanna dig a lot, use All Metal.

Good Luck,
Sandman

I have heard good things about it, I even owned one for like 20min. :-X
Just make sure it has a red seal not a black one. I got sent a brand new "old" style one from a dealer and it leaked. I did not did not like the floating coil, so make sure you get the one with the weighted coil if you get it.
