I wonder if anyone else has calculated similar stats. I decided to do a (meaningless?) calc of the denomination distribution of 2,000 beach coins that I've found so far in 2007; namely;
Cents: 47%;
Nickels: 7%;
Dimes: 22%;
Quarters: 23%
Halves: 0%;
Dollars: (three) less than one percent.
Oldest coins: Cent: '25; Nickel: '83; Dime: '60; Quarter: '60; $1: SBA '79.
Foreign coins: 14
Total (US) face value: $181.33
