Wow!!!! That's one of the nicest ones that I've seen posted here in a while. Most are bent or in several pieces.

I've always dreamed of finding one, actually I would be happy to recover a civil war bullet. I remember going to visit some of my mom's cousins when I was a little one back in the 1970's. They had a bayonet on the wall that had been found several years before sticking out of the side of a river bank. Another family member had a large metal cross with a flag of the Confederacy on it. The only thing else I remember stamped on it was something like "No. 129." I assume it was a grave marker because of its size. It was recovered from their back yard when they had a pool put in. All of this excitement was in Huntsville, AL many years ago.

I'm sure like the others here we look forward to more posts of your nice finds.

I cant believe how great that bayonet looks cleaned up, you did one hellofva job cleaning it bud,congrats :thumbsup:
