Found in a farm field in SE Iowa. Very green, hard to tell in pic. Weighs 2.25 LBS. using Occam’s razor theory, I’m guessing basalt. But a friend thinks maybe Amphibolite. Any ideas?

I don’t have a white unglazed tile, but will try it as soon as I can. ThanksI'm not sure its either from the image.
does it have an odor? scrape it against a white tile (unglazed) see what color the streak if any it leaves. A premature guess is one of the Sulfide minerals like Pyrite.. but a couple more images would help.
No quartz that I can seeNot sure its that important any longer these new images change what I thought I was seeing. It still likely not Basalt or Amphibolite. Try an acid checking for Carbonate minerals, which would make it a Dolostone or Limestone. I cant tell from the pics but do see any Quartz?
