Returned to the area where the nice Saxon Brooch Fragment came from & found no other pieces :( Worked hard in this heat & insect infested field for 4 hours 15 mins (8.5 man hours). Plenty of modern trash to clear & the average finds, & speed at which they appeared gave you hope something nice may turn up, but it never did :tongue3:
The closest I came was a fragment of a hammered Lizy Sixpence, strangely only the date part; 1566 :P

6 Roman Scrappies
2 17th C Tokens
4 Lead Tokens
Most of a Medieval Purse Bar :)
Leather decor with leather
Lead imprint of a Geo II Farthing

Thats the Medieval Purse Bar section, missing the two ends, it is one of the best finds of the day :)

Another good haul
Loving that lead impression and Tokens ;D
Likely because they are similar to finds that I make over here
