Found an old church picnic spot that my parents told me about, on our own property even. They said it used to be an old clearing in the woods that was used for picnics before their time and they are in their 80's. Dad and I both thought there would not be anything there, as we have farmed it for years and not seen a coin. We were both wrong. Two barber dimes 1901 and 1908 D and a nice barber quarter 1899, my second. Alot of can slaw at this site but I dug everything and came away with the two early wheat and the two indians 1900 and 1902, one is in pretty good shape, and the V nickle, 1905, which was a signal that I normally don't dig unless I am at an old site. I wish all my hunts where like this one. Thanks for looking.
