Took my son to his art class, and I decided to go to a nearby park for an hour of hunting. Found a handful of clad coins. Interesting that there were modern pennies buried 6 inches down. Get a quarter signal, 6 inches, figure it's clad....and pull up a 1907 barber. Really nice condition. O mark on the back.

Also found what could be a bullet casing? Help me out on that one.....

Then pulled an 1864 Indian Head. There's good stuff there! Guess I have to dig all those pennies..... :P

Also found a strange piece of metal. Rang up as copper. Any ideas what it is? Nice shape! Almost looks like a spool.

Nice scores Kevin. These northern NJ parks have been hammered so it must have been a tough signal on that Barber. The 1864 is a great year for any park. Congrats
