Hello!

Ron and I took a drive up to Corvallis today to do some detecting. We had a great time, and the weather was NICE! Here's what I dug:

1908-S Barber Dime
1920 Mercury Dime
1943-S Mercury Dime
1950-S Roosevelt Dime
1952-S Roosevelt Dime
12 wheat cents dating from 1913 to 1952 (best being a 1913-S!)
4 clad quarters
23 clad dimes
ZERO nickels
53 Memorial cents
Toy gun

I took pic's of the silver coins before and after I cleaned 'em up. And I took a close-up of the date area on the Barber dime just for the fun of it. These five silvers bring me up to 88 silver coins for the year. If I remember correctly, this is only the 3rd time in over 16 years of metal detecting that I've scored a silver dime TRI-FECTA in one hunt.

The little toy gun is the smallest "cap" gun that I've ever dug ~ it's shorter than three inches!

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Pretty good for a guy from the wet side of the State.
And did you see what the Ducks and Beavers did to those "big schools" from California? :headbang:

Great hunt. Wish I could have had day like that, when hunting in Oregon.

WOW!! WOW!! Neil, congrats on the
silvers, wheats, toy gun and the dime

LOL ~ thanks man!

Yeah, I really tried finding a Seated. Ron dug a 1889 Indian Head in the same yard, so it was possible! I've never dug a Seated dime before ~ I've dug a 1868-s Seated Half dime, and a 1876 Seated Half dollar ~ but no Seated dime or 20c or quarter or Dollar ~ YET!

Nice silver finds, Neil and a good time to boot. Keep hitting the silver as the weather is bound to turn ugly one of these days soon :-\
