Howdy all,

Fields dried up some before the rain yesterday and decided to swing a lil, hoping to maybe find more NA but no luck this time. Did score a roached LC and this neat bracelet. Thgt it was junk at first but I noticed the ends weren't broken. After some cleaning I seen it's from Yosemite National Park. Definitely different, this site has seen many time-frames.

I visited Yosemite National Park with my family back in the mid 70's and don't recall there being any place to ski. Possibly the bracelet just had more or less generic activity symbolism on it as a tourist souvenir from a gift shop. I do remember the park was incredibly beautiful. Great finds. You're pulling some cool stuff from there. I'd hunt it as much as possible.

I'd say you're right about the generic activity on it. I would like to find out a time frame this style was, I believe the home site dried up in the 60's so I'm guessing pre that sometime :icon_scratch:

I was curious if there really was skiing there and did some googling and it said that there is in fact skiing there in the winter. So, I googled 'vintage Yosemite bracelet' and got a few hits identical to yours. This link has several pics if you hit the 'show more' button. It says it's mid-century, and I feel that is correct as it has kind of a late 50's vibe to it.

Thx Jguy!!!! When I did the search it did show me pics of the bracelet but never said anything of a date range. I'm with ya on 50's vibe and kinda goes with the time on the site I believe. :occasion14:
