What's are banners and how do you earn them?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
from the little I know, if you post a "find" the other members vote "banner" by clicking the (very) small BANNER button on each reply.
when I got mine it was days before I realised what everyone was talking about!! and another day before I realised they were MY coins on the web-page -
I had always thought these pictures of treasures were part of the ads that pop up so I ignored them!
They were making a joke, much like you were.
although I take it your joking.
Due to the fact some members may have security on their computer so High
they are blocked.
These pics of finds above the threads are banners

And River Rat explained well how we decide.
And is correct.
self Promotion or brutzin' for a Banner is a Kill joy,
So I personally make it harder for them to earn banners
by doubling the requirements
It is also never good for a member to recommend their self for banner..

Yea that sounds bad any way sounds greedy
Although TreasureNet members don't lie about their Finds.
When a Member reports their own find for Banner, it always leads to the possibilty
they may be the First one to do it. this is why more scrutiny is needed.
plus it's like tv & movie stars nominating themselves for best actress, or actor all ego.
& remember if you look up on the banner & see something you just pulled out the ground Too. We don't want to see 2 of them up there side by side
I don't envy you Moderators having to select the Banner worthy finds.
What we need is a Banner sub-forum where folks can post their whines about their find NOT being selected for the Banner. Think of the fun we can have agreeing or disagreeing with them
think of the we moderators would have, calming those people down,
who found something there are 13 of up there already, & They feel theirs
is just as worthy (rare ?)
Who are the creaters of TNet
I disagree.
A banner find should stand on it's own uniqueness. Further "forced" information is unnecessary. Most banners have a wealth of info included w post.
A green member that posts a banner find not to be heard from again, has shown his gratitude to this site by simply posting here. Not other sites.
Besides, folks not computer savy have a hard enough time posting a pic, much less staying logged in.
Will this enforced "rule" trickel to other forums?
Let the members vote on banner finds with or without forced future info.
Anyone that attains a banner find is so happy you could call 'em at home.
Peace
