Ball Charm With Design?

I have a similar gold plated ball that I found but it has a designnpattern as that of an artichoke.

From your visual perspective do you think this is silve, and does the ball/sphere have any significance. I've placed an old silver ring next to it for color comparison. May have to ask Crispin for the foil test formula.

This is a iffy sound on my machine, sometimes it is a small gold item or a deep gold item, most of the times it turns out to be trash. But this time it was a small silver ball. This is the video of the recovery, if you look close you can see the charcoal under the sand evidence of a fire, please excuse me for clearing my throat while the video is recording:
