How in the world did you ID that from that piece I have?!?! LOL, amazing ID there, Thanks! Guess Im still looking for my first bale seal, but glad to have a positive ID on it.

Hopefully someone can ID the brass thing.

If it's made of lead, it might be a wine bottle seal.

Lead bale (sack) seals are about the size of your fingernail and about twice as thick as a coin, and most have no design or words on them but some do. They were used up in the early 1900s, so many old business sites like general stores, hardware stores, etc will have them in the ground around the location. Other locations, not as likely.

Sorry guys, the brass piece is about 3" long and a little over 1" wide.

Id agree with the banner for ID of an object. I really cant believe he came up with that from the fragment I have, lol.
