Me and Mastereagle went on a hunt last night and had a blast. We found a few nice items and I FOUND WILVER! He was hiding next to a bush, apparently since around 1946 some time. ;D
To read about Mastereagle's slant on things, click here: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,102022.0.html

Here is where we hunted:

The good stuff:

Oh Ahhh!! Wilver!!! My first!!!!!!!!!

This was cool. Anyone know what this went on?

If you don't know it...Mastereagle LOVES zipper pulls. These last couple shots are for him.

Notice how the light dapples and plays across the rough, yet shiny exterior only to be extiguished by the glossy back paint? Curious how something so beautiful, could in fact, be so common. It presents iteself as a piece of jewelry more than it does a common zipper pull. It is...in fact, a metaphor for the human experience.

very nice " wilver "

Prober,
I beg to differ...it is wascally wilver wiseguy. ;D

Leon,
Thanks, I knew if I hit enough old houses, I might finally find a WILVER coin.

history hunter,
Thanks bud..Luck back at ya!

Boobydoo,
Yeah we did have a blast! Mastereagle and I were exhausted when we quit hunting. We worked really hard for what we found. Can't wait for a good rain to get back there!

piggman1,
You still crack me up! Your hilarious dude!

zlathim,
Thanks for your comments. Just keep hitting those old homes and it will happen. I have been really hitting old homes and after 7 or 8 months, chaching!

iwannafindsome,
Thanks~ I was stoked!

Jim,
Yeah, I would add zipper pull in the keywords if I could. If for no other reason, to bug Mastereagle. :D

KirkPA,
This was the de first time dat I seen Wilver in a hole...and I liked it!

Mirage,
He can run but he can't hide. However, I think some of them do hide from me. ??? I too, usually only find the top of the zipper. I am getting a small Ziploc bag of pulls this year. I am really surprised how many I have found.

Ridley,
Thanks Ridley. It all due to the fine tutelage on this site!

titan,
Thanks! And thanks for using the word Wilver. I know KirkPA appreciates it as do I!

Yeah and he makes sure that he rubs my nose in it everytime we hunt. He always works how many Zipper Pulls he has found into any converstaion when we are comparing finds so far. I have found six! 6 of those beatuiful pieces of modern art. 6 of those wonderful pieces of treasure. He has found thousands I tell ya (mumbling as I walk away from the computer) :D :D :D ;)

Baldingboy...since Mastereagle is such a pro on zippers.... ;D ;D ;D...ever wonder, when you "zip" something...does that mean to open the zipper...or to close the zipper? Hmmmm....something to discuss the next time you guys are out MDng.....LOL

ModernMiner,
Yeah, I have a feeling that place has just began to show us what it has. The soil was hard as a rock! We will hit it again after some moisture hits the ground.

Nana40,
Yeah, it is a beautiful house. My brothers best friend lives there. He has put a lot into restoration of it. Seems like everytime I see him he is working on something. :D

Mel,
For some reason Mastereagle doesn't want to talk about zippers with me anymore. He only wants to talk about his explorer! :-\ By the way, I am going to have a drink with you two if we find something good. (Like a zipper pull) ;D

mastereagle22,
You know, as I zipped up my pants this morning....I thought how beautiful, and functional the zipper pull is. They are different colors, shapes and sizes and look cool when displayed together. Of course, I am just thinking outloud here..... ;)

Hey, I also found one of those plastic tube thingies that is marked off in some measurement.. just like the one in the upper left of your picture.. Any idea what the heck it is? ;D ;D ;D

Grant,
This particular one was an Inline fuse that had the wires cut off both ends.

Totally love that zipper pull! OMG...what a rare find. I have yet to find one...that would make a nice new collection to add to my Beer Bottle Cap and Pull Tab (esp love the colored ones!) collection....hmmm... ;)

Happy Hunting,
Annmarie
PS: Oh, nice silver too! ;D

I've always wondered why I get such a good feeling to find a zipper pull. When that happens someone has just lost the most important thing on that article of clothing. It's good to see I'm not the only one here to have that morbid curiosity with ZIPPER PULLS ;) ;D

DANGLANGLEY

Oops. I forgot to say congrats on the wilver!

Baldingboy really could care less about these beautiful works of art. He just knows how bad I want to find more and he couldn't believe that for the first three weeks I got my detector nothing made me happy until I dug my first one. He just loves rubbing my nose in it that he has found wayyyy more than me. :D :D ;) ;) :D ;D ;D ;D ;D
