Maybe an old cigarette tin... I dunno, but cool find.
 

I appreciate you guys getting back to me so quickly. It is a very odd find, the slots have me stumped, because it is obviously made to attach to something perhaps a belt or some sort of strap? Interesting....
 

It helps if you place an item of known shape and size in the picture. Like a dollar bill, a coin or similar. Nice find, can I come play in your yard?
 

Cool find! :headbang: Looks like two winged cherubs with one lifting a vase or similar container! Hope someone knowledgable will have detailed info on this! Andi

I'm not saying that is the age of your item, just that the image appears to be from it. You can find the entire publication on the "Guttenburg Project" site.
